
ESPN and representatives from the Special Olympics descended on Warren High School, in Downey, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, to celebrate the school for having unified teams, which allow student-athletes with special needs to participate in sports with the general student population.
Warren, which held a pep rally on the football field Tuesday, has been designated a Special Olympics Unified Champion School for its efforts — one of five high schools in the country to receive the honor.
